The pre-req for this class is Wood Shop 101, the introduction course. During this class we will build a picture frame using some of the more advance tools.

Taking a standard stock piece of hardwood, we will use the joiner to obtain a flat side, the plainer to get a defined thickness, the router to obtain a wood profile and the drum sander to obtain a smooth finish. The goal of the class is to create a profiled board from which to create a picture frame.

Please watch these videos and read the articles linked in this handout before the class to gain the basics of these tools. During the class we will go over some the tips and tricks for our tools and get hands-on experience.
