Course Description:
- Hands on soldering class for electronics, electrical, and mechanical. Expect to dedicate 2½ to 3 hours in this small lab class.

- This class will cover the use of bench soldering stations; hand held pencil irons of various brands and sizes.
- In addition to soldering components on boards, you will learn about making wire and cable connections that are mechanically sound and electrically conductive.
- We'll also cover de-soldering with vacuum and wire wick methods.

Course Number: Woods 101
Course Description:
- Get oriented with the wood shop, and get checked out with five common tools:
- Drill press
- Compound miter saw
- Band saw
- Belt sander
- Panel saw
- We will also discuss the dust collector, and shop safety and procedures.

Wood Shop Supreme
Course Number: Woods 201
Course Description:
- During this class we will build a picture frame using some of the more advance tools.
- Taking a standard stock piece of hardwood, we will use the joiner to obtain a flat side, the plainer to get a defined thickness, the router to obtain a wood profile and the drum sander to obtain a smooth finish. The goal of the class is to create a profiled board from which to create a picture frame.
- Please watch these videos and read the articles linked in this handout before the class to gain the basics of these tools. During the class we will go over some the tips and tricks for our tools and get hands-on experience.
